Lufa Farms, maker of urban rooftop greenhouse company, opened its second one in Laval.
The 43,000-sq.-ft. greenhouse is nearly 50% larger than Lufa's orginal rooftop greenhouse in Ahuntsic-Cartierville in Montreal.
The new greenhouse will have the capacity to grow unique produce not found in supermarkets such as specialty tomatoes, including pink cherries, Striped German, and legendary Cherokee Purples.
Lufa Farms now also represents 40 or so Quebec organic farmers and producers of high-quality, sustainable food–everything from root vegetables and maple syrup, to cheese and fresh-baked bread.
