Man arrested in Chatham for stealing $180 worth of meat

In what police describe as a sign of Chatham, Ont.'s tough economic times, a man was arrested last week for allegedly stealing meat and assaulting two employees at a Sobey's store.
The man allegedly filled a bag with $180 worth of meat, and attempted to leave without paying.
He fled after being confronted, and then assaulted two employees in the process. No one was seriously injured.
