It won't necessarily achieve Harlem Shake fame, but the grocery industry has its own new viral hit.
There's a new video getting lots of Internet love thanks to an enthusiastic cow mascot showing off some memorable dance moves in a Mexican grocery store.
The video features a mascot for Alpura, a Mexican dairy products company, grooving amidst shoppers. (With all that energy and stamina, it must be grass-feed beef.)
The clip has hit a nerve with--and the funny bone of--the Internet universe, amassing more than two million views on YouTube since being posted last week.
An article on Canada.com reports "there are dozens of Spanish-language videos of dancing cows invading Mexican grocery stores" posted online. It seems Alpura has been doing similar in-store stunts for years.
At a time when differentiation amongst manufacturers is increasingly important, a dancing bovine could definitely help Alpura stand out. We here at Canadian Grocer think the dancing videos are, umm, "udderly" hilarious.
