Metro completes renovations on Milton location

Metro’s Milton, Ont. location held its grand re-opening on Thursday (September 8) after eight months of renovations.

The 54,000 sq. ft. upgraded store – which has been part of the community since 2006 – will add 30 new employees to its headcount.

Consumers can expect a variety of products including Foodland Ontario  produce, a deli section with a larger assortment, ready-made meals, fresh-cut fruit and a floral section.

Additionally, the pharmacy has been relocated to the centre of the store with an added Nature  Signatures extending the health and wellness selection.

“It is important to us that our store integrates with the community, so we’ve tailored our product offering and store décor to reflect the neighbourhood,” Joe Fusco, senior vice president, Metro, said in a release.  

As part of the grand re-opening, Metro will present $2,500 to the local Salvation Army Khi Community in Milton. 

The Metro Milton store (located at 1050 Kennedy Circle) will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from  8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
