Newmarket, Ont.-based Nature’s Emporium is opening its third location, an 18,000-sq.-ft. store in Burlington, Ont.
Established in 1993, Nature’s Emporium is a holistic grocery store staffed by certified nutritionists. It offers an all-organic selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers, beauty products, and prepared meals, as well as a café/restaurant. In addition, it features a full-service apothecary offering vitamins and supplements.
In addition, Nature’s Emporium offers tours to its customers interested in understanding more about how the store’s products can contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
The family-owned business started as a 4,000-sq.-ft. store and quickly developed a loyal customer following. It expanded several times over the years before moving into a 50,000-.sq.-ft. space in Newmarket. In 2014, it opened a 20,000-sq.-ft. store in Maple, Ont.
A fourth store is in the works for Whitby, Ont.
The company continues to seek opportunities to expand in the Great Toronto Area. Specific areas of interest include Bloor West Village, Beach, King Street West (Liberty Village), King East (Corktown), Leaside, Yonge and St. Clair and Etobicoke.
