Nestlé Canada releases snapshot of community, sustainability achievements

The food and beverage giant looks to take its commitments even further

What: The company has issued a snapshot of its recent achievements around the promotion of nutritious and sustainable diets; sustainability; community; and responsible operations. 

Its 2021/2022 Creating Shared Value Snapshot highlights how Nestlé Canada is bringing its purpose (“unlocking the power of food to enhance the quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come”) to life. 

Achievements include $3.6 million in product and monetary donations to communities across Canada; supporting Food Bank Canada; an investment of $41.3 million to increase production capabilities at its London, Ont. ice cream factory; and reducing factory waste by 8%, among others.

"We are proud of our achievements and are determined to take our commitments even further to support the people of our communities and the planet we live on," John Carmichael, president and CEO of Nestlé Canada, said in a release.
