Nexe Innovations makes key hires as it focuses on growing sales

The compostable single-serve coffee pod creator looks to become a market leader

B.C.-based compostable materials tech company Nexe Innovations has made two key executive appointments.

Chris Murray, formerly the vice president of sales and marketing at Zavida Coffee Company, takes up the same title at Nexe. Kam Mangat has been named VP of investor relations and corporate strategy

Murray has more than 20 years experience in the CPG industry in Canada and the U.S. 

Before Zavida Coffee, where he worked for eight years, Murray was category marketing manager of retail coffee at Mother Parkers Tea and Coffee. Prior to that, he was senior brand manager, business development, for Tree of Life/KeHe.

Mangat, meanwhile, was most recently VP, relationship management, at a consulting firm covering U.S. and Canadian pension plans. With more than 20 years experience in finance, she has also worked in capital markets as a sell-side equity analyst.
