Nominations are open for the 2026 Golden Pencil Awards
Do you know an outstanding individual who has contributed positively to the Canadian grocery industry? If so, nominate them for a 2026 Golden Pencil Award.
Handed out annually since 1957 by The Food Industry Association of Canada, The Golden Pencil Award is the Canadian grocery industry's most prestigious honour. The award recognizes individuals who have made signifcant contributions to the grocery industry and to their communities.

The 2026 awards will be presented on Nov. 23 in Toronto, following Canadian Grocer's GroceryConnex conference.
Last year's honourees were Michael Medline, former president and CEO of Empire Company Ltd. and Sobeys Inc.; Shaun McKenna, former executive director of The Grocery Foundation; and Gary Wade, CEO Beauty & Wellbeing North America, and president of Unilever Canada.
