Olymel's new logo featured on its Original Bacon.
Pork and poultry producer Olymel launched a new brand identity this week.
The simplified logo is designed to reflect the company’s growth, Quebec-based Olymel said.
The new brand identity will roll out progressively across all the brand’s physical and digital touchpoints— including packaging, advertising and signage—over the coming year.
By increasing the brand’s visibility, the company said it hopes to strengthen its market position, increase sales and improve perception among consumers.
Olymel shuttered a number of its facilities and cut hundreds of jobs in recent years in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In September 2023, the company announced it would be closing its poultry processing plant in Paris, Ont. and investing $8 million to increase capacity at its plant in Oakville.
"In changing our brand image, we wanted to further highlight the quality of our products, already recognized internationally for their excellence. It was essential that this new corporate image reflects both our commitment to quality and the new direction we've taken, while respecting the essence of what makes us who we are," Daniel Rivest, SVP of sales and marketing, in a press release.
