Online grocery growing at "phenomenal" rate in Europe

IGD research says online sales to double in several Euro countries

Online grocery retailing is set to double over the next five years, but each market is using different models, according to research from IGD.

The U.K. leads as the fastest-growing online grocery market with shoppers spending  €7.1 billion, followed by France(€5 billion), Germany(€1.1 billion) and the Netherlands(€0.6 billion).

It's interesting to note that IGD found that different models are popular across Europe. For example, in France, shoppers prefer the "click and collect" model of buying.
