Ontario’s Italian Chamber of Commerce recognizes Metro, Loblaw execs

Winners will be recognized at the Pentola d’Oro Awards gala.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada (ICCO) announced the recipients of the 12th edition of the Pentola d’Oro Awards this week.

Metro’s senior vice president, Joe Fusco, received the Pentola d’Oro Award. 

Michael Rinaldi, SVP of business enablement and enterprise procurement at Loblaw Cos. Ltd., is the Italy-Canada Award winner.

Giuseppe and Rocco Nicastro, co-founders of Nicastro Fine Foods and La Bottega Nicastro, are this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners.

Finally, chef Luciana Schipano received the Buonissimo Award.

Winners will be recognized at a gala on Nov. 21 at Universal Eventspace in Vaughan, Ont.

"These winners exemplify the dedication and hard work that has always characterized the first generations of Italians in Canada and the future generations over time. We are proud to recognize their exceptional contributions to our community and celebrate their enduring legacy,” Tony Altomare and Pat Pelliccione, ICCO Canada co-presidents, said in a release.
