Pengsheng brand cabbage leaf recalled over sesame allergen

Uncle T Foods is recalling its Pengsheng brand Oil Preserved Cabbage Leaf because it contains sesame, which is not declared on the label.

The recall covers 450-gram jars with Chinese characters on the label and UPC 6 922406 898989. The company says the products were sold in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. There have been no reported reactions linked to this product.
