Pattison Food Group-owned Asian grocer PriceSmart Foods opened its doors in Burnaby today (Jan. 25).

The Lougheed store, located at 9899 Austin Road, is PriceSmart Foods' third location and the first to open since 2016.

It features an Asian-style market, Takeout Town, with offerings such as Hong Kong-style noodles and made-to-order skewers. The Harmony Café will serve up bubble tea and other treats.

Alongside an array of Western and Asian grocery products, customers can find: fresh local and international produce; live seafood; a meat market; and a bakery.

“We are so excited to open our third PriceSmart Foods store to better serve our diverse neighbours in Burnaby,” said Pattison Food Group president Darrell Jones. “This beautiful new store brings our customers unique food options and memorable shopping experiences as they explore traditional tastes of home, and forge new taste traditions with their families.”

The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

“On behalf of the entire team, I’m thrilled to welcome you to PriceSmart Foods  a truly unique grocery experience at The City of Lougheed,” said store manager Eddie Kim. “We can’t wait to welcome in our customers and serve this great community.”
