Provigo, a top 10 finalist in workforce satisfaction competition

Provigo is among the is pleased to announce it is among the top 10 finalists of the Défi Employeurs inspirants competition.

Presented by Emploi Québec and organized by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, Towers Watson and Les Affaires, the award recognizes Quebec-based companies that are successful at creating an inspiring work environment that drives employee satisfaction, said a press release.

The top 10 finalists were selected based on the engagement level of the workforce following an employee survey conducted by Tower Watson.

"We are very proud of our close to 30,000 colleagues across Quebec who work extremely hard every day in our 400 stores, three distribution centers and our Ville St-Laurent office to serve our customers. They are our main asset and we place them at the heart of our priorities," said Pierre Dandoy, senior vice president, conventional division, for Provigo, a member of the Loblaw group, in the release.

"We continue to strive to be great place to work. As a top 10 finalist list is indication that we are on the right track with our training, diversity and compensation programs," added Jocyanne Bourdeau, executive vice president, discount division, Provigo.

The winners of the Défi Employeurs inspirants competition in each of the three categories (small, medium and large businesses) will be announced October 4.
