Pusateri’s Fine Foods is moving to the suburbs.
The gourmet grocer, known for its high-end food selection, will be opening a new location in Oakville, Ont . This will be the retailer’s fourth location, and the only one outside Toronto. It will be the first new Pusateri’s location to open in nearly five years.
The opening is part of a $30 million renovation of Oakville Place, the only enclosed shopping centre of the city. RioCan will break ground in June 2015 to start the redevelopment and is expected to finish in late 2016.
“We travel the world exploring new and distinct culinary experiences to share with customers,” said Frank Luchetta, president of Pusateri’s, in a statement. “It is our unmatched passion for food and commitment to quality that inspires the diverse and exception selection of our products, and we are so pleased to be bringing this experience to the Oakville community.
The new location is expected to create approximately 150 jobs and is scheduled to open for next year’s holiday season.
