RCC cancels spring events, postpones STORE 2020

Retail Council of Canada has made changes to its events lineup over concerns around the COVID-19 outbreak.

STORE 2020, which was scheduled for May 26 and 27 in Toronto, has been moved to September 14 and 15.

One-day and half-day conference sessions--Retail Human Resources Conference, Retail Cannabis Forum and Retail Marketing Conference--have been cancelled and refunds have been issued.

In a note to its members, RCC president and CEO Diane J. Brisebois said the organization's top priority is "ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our retail community."

"We are working 24/7 on behalf of all our members and talking to all levels of government and health agencies to ensure Canadians’ diverse retail needs are met while keeping everyone safe," said Brisebois.
