Real Canadian Superstore in Mississauga, Ont. to open a Paramount Butcher

The kiosk will offer halal meats in addition to traditional Middle Eastern dips, condiments and more

The Real Canadian Superstore is opening a Paramount Butcher Shop counter inside its Argentia Road location in Mississauga, Ont. on May 12.

According to a press release, the Butcher Shop kiosk—owned by Paramount Fine Foods restaurant chain—will offer halal meats and poultry in addition to an array of traditional Middle Eastern dips, condiments and a cold bar.

“We are excited to partner with Real Canadian Superstore to expand the Middle Eastern selection available at the large grocer and appeal to the growing halal market,” said Mohamad Rizk, director of commissary and Butcher Shops at Paramount Fine Foods. “Our wide variety of products will give customers all the ingredients they need to recreate their favourite dishes at home."

Paramount launched its Paramount Butcher Shop division in 2012 and started expanding the concept throughout the U.S. and Canada in 2015, followed by entry into the Middle Eastern and European markets in 2016.

With the Real Canadian Superstore opening, Paramount now operates four Butcher Shops across the Greater Toronto Area.
