Red Apple Stores (Red Apple) has announced that two former The Bargain! Shop locations in Watrous and Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., will be rebranded under the Red Apple banner.

The conversions of The Bargain! Shop's Fort Qu'Appelle location at 420 Broadway Street East and the Watrous locations at 3rd Avenue East to Red Apple stores is part of the retailer’s strategy “to modernize stores and provide an enhanced shopping experience,” notes a press release.

The converted stores will offer customers a modern, open store layout as well as groceries, home goods, brand-name fashion and toys. The new locations will also feature Red Apple’s signature "CandyWorks" candy shop.

The new Red Apple locations will host opening ceremonies on Feb. 27. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting and deals for attending customers.

"These conversions allow us to continue serving Watrous and Fort Qu'Appelle with great value and friendly service," said Brendan Proctor, president and chief executive officer, Red Apple Stores. "We're proud to invest in these communities and provide customers with affordable, everyday essentials close to home.”
