Salmonella concerns spark bean sprouts recall
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is currently conducting an investigation
Fresh Sprout International is recalling its fresh bean sprouts brand because it may contain salmonella.
The recall covers 454-gram bags sold in Ontario with UPC 8 27468 00100 0 and a best before date of Feb. 28.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
The CFIA said no illnesses had been reported as a result of eating the fresh bean sprouts, which should be returned to the store where purchased.
