Saputo renews partnership with Ronald McDonald House Canada
Who: Saputo and Ronald McDonald House Canada
What: The Quebec-based dairy company has renewed its long-standing partnership with Ronald McDonald House Canada, committing $2.25 million over five years–nearly double its previous commitment.
Ronald McDonald House Canada provides home-away-from-home for out-of-town families with children receiving medical treatment.
Last year alone, the non-profit organization supported more than 28,900 families across the country, saving them an estimated $66.5 million in out-of-pocket expenses, according to a press release.
Despite this, Ronald McDonald House is unable to support up to four out of five families in need, due to a lack of space or no available program location. Renewed support from Saputo will help the organization expand its reach and help more families across Canada.
“As someone who has seen firsthand the difference Ronald McDonald House Canada makes for families in their most difficult moments, I’m incredibly proud that Saputo is deepening its support,” said Jim Fennell, vice-president, foodservice & convenience at Saputo and a long-time member of the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Toronto, in the release. “By expanding access and resources, we’re helping bring comfort and stability to more families across the country.”
