Save-On-Foods opened a 39,000-square-foot store in Surrey’s Guildford area on Thursday--the Western grocer's ninth location in the city.
The store—which anchors a retail development called Guildford Village—offers a traditional grocery shopping experience as well as a “wide variety of Save-On-Foods’ freshest innovations,” according to a press release.
These innovations include:
- A meat and seafood department stocked with Western Canadian AAA beef, a large selection of fresh sausages, kabobs, marinated chicken breasts and Ocean wise seafood.
- A bakery stocked with breads made with Western Canadian wheat.
- A grab ‘n go kitchen with a taqueria Mexican grill, fresh daily made poké bowls and in-store rolled sushi.
“We could not be more thrilled to open another Save-On-Foods store to serve the city of Surrey,” said Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones, in a press release. “Now, more than ever, our customers are looking for quality, value and convenience in their local grocery store and we know that Save-On-Foods Guildford Village will deliver! From our fresh, daily made-in-store meals to our online shopping service, there is something for everyone at this beautiful new store.”
