Save-On-Foods has opened a 36,000-square-foot store at King George Hub—a mixed-use development with retail, office and residential high-rises—in Surrey, B.C.

Located at 13630 George Junction and replacing the previous location at 10312 King George Boulevard, Save-On-Foods King George Hub offers a traditional grocery shopping experience as well as new and unique innovations, according to a press release.

These include:

  • A meat and seafood department stocked with Western Canadian AAA beef, a large selection of fresh sausages, kabobs, marinated chicken breasts and Ocean wise seafood.
  • A bakery stocked with breads made with Western Canadian wheat.
  • A grab ‘n go kitchen section offering sandwiches,  a wing bar, homestyle fried chicken and in-store rolled sushi.

In a press release, Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones said the Western grocer was thrilled to be part of the King George Hub community, which counts Rexall, Tim Hortons and Westland Insurance among its tenants.

“Now more than ever, we know how important it is for us to be there for our friends and neighbours,” said Jones. “As part of this growing and vibrant community, we look forward to bringing our customers the quality, value and convenience they know and love from Save-On-Foods.”
