Retailers and restaurants were the big winners this year in British Columbia.
BC Business magazine and market researchers at Ipsos, released their second annual list of the 20 most loved brands in B.C. To develop the list, Ipsos surveyed 1,349 British Columbians during the month of November asking them a series of questions
London Drugs, last year's first place finisher, took second spot on the ranking this year. But Save-on-Foods took the top spot, moving up from third place in 2014
According to a representative from Ipsos, Save-on-Foods was able to climb up the rankings because of its increased media presence. The data indicates consumers trust the chain more, and believe them to be very innovative.
Save-on-Foods and London Drugs beat out the likes of companies like Telus, Purdy's and A&W for the coveted first and second spot.
Save-on-Foods is owned by the Overwaitea Food Group, while London Drugs is owned by H.Y. Louie, which also operates grocery stores in B.C.
