For the 2024 edition of SIAL Canada, a new conference concept will be introduced, presented by Farm Credit Canada. Attendees can expect engaging knowledge-sharing sessions, featuring 10 thematic forums covering a diverse range of industry topics. These sessions will consist of three consecutive 30-minute presentations grouped under a unified theme. This approach is designed to offer a more in-depth and engaging experience for our participants. The conference program is now free for attendees!
In a dynamic of adaptation and market responsiveness, we are rebranding our cheese section as SIAL Dairy, an initiative that underscores our commitment to promoting excellence across all facets of this sector. To celebrate this launch, we are introducing a new SIAL competition, the Best Canadian Cheesemonger Competition, chaired by the renowned master cheesemonger, Yannick Achim. This biennial competition will become a highlight of our Montreal editions, alternating with the International Cheese Competition, which will continue to shine in our odd-numbered years in Toronto. Celebrating industry pioneers and disruptive innovations, SIAL Canada 2024 provides a platform for visionary endeavors through our flagship event, the Pitch Competition. Explore emerging entrepreneurs introducing new products, technologies, or services at the Start-up Village, booth #5617, and participate in the Pitch Competition! In its 4th edition, startups from the Village will compete in two categories: Food or Beverage Product and Technology or Service. They will have 3 minutes to captivate the jury and present their concepts to the audience.
SIAL Canada's SoSIAL program remains dedicated to community involvement. This includes partnering with Moisson Montreal to recover surplus food after the show for distribution to those in need. Furthermore, for every ticket sold, SIAL Canada will donate $5 to support Moisson Montreal's efforts.
