Smoked trout products recalled over bacteria concerns
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency continues its investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products
North Shore Specialty Foods is recalling Kolapore Springs and North Shore smoked trout products sold in Ontario because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum.
The recall covers Kolapore Springs Smoked Trout (UPC 6 27987 16383 4); Kolapore Springs Smoked Trout, Peppercorn (UPC 6 27987 16383 4); and North Shore Smoked Rainbow Trout Fillet.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
