Sobeys gases up again in Atlantic Canada
Will supply six Scholten Group locations in New Brunswick with fuel
Sobeys has struck a deal with Scholten Group to supply six of eight dealer-owned gas bars and convenience stations in New Brunswick.
The six stations will be converted to the Shell brand this month.
Just over two years ago, Sobeys purchased 250 gas stations in Atlantic Canada and Quebec from Shell Canada.
"We are impressed with the efforts of Sobeys to rebuild the Shell image throughout Atlantic Canada," said Jerry Scholten, group administrator with the Scholten group.
Valerie Ryan, vice-president of convenience and fuel with Sobeys, said the retailer is continuing to look for ways to expand throughout the area.
Two of Scholtens locations being supplied by Sobeys are in Fredericton. The rest are in Saint John, Grand Bay, Oromocto and Hanwell.
