The Specialty Food Association announced the winners of the prestigious 2016 sofi awards last week.
The 2016 sofi Award winners included flavours from North Africa, Southern Italy and the U.S.
Pumpkin seeds, honey and bacon made several appearances, as did chicken fat and coconut sugar.
The awards represent the best of the best in specialty food and beverages. The honourees include 28 winners selected from 100 finalists. A record 3,200 entries were submitted.
