Super C opened its 122nd store on Wednesday (July 8).

After several weeks of construction, the Quebec discount banner has welcomed customers to its 35,700 square-foot store in Magog.

The location offers a variety of fresh and grocery products tailored to local demand. Shoppers will find fresh meat prepared on-site, value-sized formats, an Aki Sushi counter, a variety of organic and natural products, a selection of craft beers and microbrews and Première Moisson products.

Super C Magog features wide aisles, self-checkout lanes, a Click & Collect service, and delivery service. Customers can also earn Moi Rewards.

The inauguration was attended by dignitaries and members of the management team.

Serving as store manager is William Corbeil, a Magog native who has been with Super C for 10 years and was most recently the store manager of Super C Fleurimont. The store will employ close to 100 people.

“The opening of our Magog store is part of a series of strategic expansions that strengthen our position as Quebec’s leading discount retailer,” said Anna Kolakowski, senior vice-president of Metro Inc.-owned Super C, in a press release. “Our priority remains the same: to offer consumers quality products at competitive prices, while providing a simple, efficient shopping experience focused on our three guarantees—Always Fresh, Always in Stock, and Always Great Prices.”

To celebrate the opening, the store also presented a $5,000 cheque to Moisson Estrie.
