Small-scale format store is one-sixth the size of a standard store
Target has opened its first small-scale concept, TargetExpress.
The 20,000-square-foot store opened its doors last week in the base of a 316-unit apartment building near the University of Minnesota. Merchandising includes a mix of basic clothing, food and pharmacy items, and some home decor and electronics.
According to A Bullseye View, Target p;ans to open four TargetExpress stores in 2015, with three to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
