Target unveils its new Canadian headquarters

8/22/2012

Target unveiled its new headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, last week.

Close to 500 team members celebrated with music, food, and games, and even had a chance to meet Bullseye.

That number will grow to approximately 650 to 700 by the time the stores open in 2013, said Tamar Nersesian, of Target Canada.

The building occupies about 180,000 square feet of space and was built to LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) gold standard.

Nersesian said some of the unique features that demonstrateTarget's collaborative working style is the open concept layout of the building and offices, the Great Hall which is an impromptu meeting space for multiple small groups to converse and collaborate in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

"The area also includes interactive surfing tables enabling team members to work or browse the internet remotely and at their leisure as well as a Target Bullseye Shop which sells Target branded items and provides various services to team members including dry cleaning, sending mail and packages," she added.
