British supermarket Tesco has launched a Google Glass app that gives shoppers product information and even lets them add to their online basket without using their hands.
An article in TechWeek Europe about the buzzed-about technology says consumers can also obtain price and nutritional information about their purchases using image-recognition technology.
The new app, which is linked to shoppers' Tesco.com account, provides a hands-free experience that allows consumers to drop an item into their basket by scanning an item's barcode with the headset.
Pablo Coberly, innovation engineer at Tesco Labs, said the Google Glass app is meant to help "customers to shop whenever and however they want."
