Canadian Grocer is proud to introduce a spring companion to its renowned Thought Leadership conference—an opportunity for leaders in the industry to discuss innovative approaches to their business models and think about what the future holds.
The half-day conference’s theme will be “Grocery 2020,” with speakers discussing what disrupting trends the industry will face in the next five years and how you can be prepared to face them head on.

Di Di Chan, president of FutureProof Retail, will talk about what she's learned about the grocery market and consumers in creating a mobile checkout app that allows you to skip the line while food shopping.
Seth Stover, managing director of partner development at Flipp, will discuss how his digital flyer is helping retailers tell their weekly stories.
A panel of industry experts will address the rise of grocerants and how you can tap into your customer’s desire for fresh, flavourful meals.
The panel will be moderated by Tom Barlow, president and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers, and feature several pioneering HMR grocers, including Christy McMullen, co-owner of Summerhill Market; Gary Wildman, director of food services, Longo’s; Jeff York, CEO, Farm Boy and John Mastroianni, VP of merchandising at Pusateri’s Fine Foods.
Also at the conference, Christopher Burkett, an associate with Baker & McKenzie LLP will put the supply chain under the microscope, and Steven Sage, VP Sustainability and Innovation at Kruger will talk about when corporate social responsibility meets profit.
