Toronto’s Rabba Fine Foods makes Easter donation to local food bank

What: The Toronto-area grocer donated more than 2,000 pounds of food to Food Banks Mississauga for Easter.

In what has become an annual tradition, the donation includes 5,400 Burnbrae eggs, more than 300 units of Carver’s Choice bacon and 25 cases of Bush Brothers baked beans, as well as fresh products like apples, pineapples, oranges and cantaloupes. 

The donation was made through the company’s Rabba Roots Community Giving Program and in partnership with Burnbrae Farms, Maple Leaf Foods and others.

“Easter is a time for coming together, and we believe everyone deserves access to wholesome nutrition. This year’s donation focuses on high-protein items and fresh variety,” says Rima Rabba, who heads Rabba Roots, in a press release.
