Copenhagen grocer offers free food in exchange for reviews
Denmark is putting "tryvertising" to the test.
Copenhagen is set to open its first "free" supermarket (The Freemarket) tomorrow.
How does it work? Shoppers register on the store's website, place an order, pick up the "free" products, and write a review on their profile.
Freemarket charges 19 kroner (or $3.40 a month). This gives customers access to gift certificates, store discounts and monthly limit of 10 products. One other catch – shoppers need to write their reviews quickly. Profiles will be shut down if the customer takes too long, and there's a fine to have it re-opend.
