Canadian grocers, brace yourself for some truly mind-boggling online grocery data coming out of one of the U.K.’s top supermarket chains.
Sainsbury’s said this week that its online grocery sales are growing 20% a year, and have almost reached £1 billion per year.
The company also reported that orders often top 190,000 a week.
Sainsbury’s Click and Collect service, in which consumers order their goods online and then pick them up at a store, is also flourishing, and not just for groceries.
More than half of the website’s customers now use it for non-food orders.
