UNFI Canada announces key leadership changes

Andrea Parete and Deborah Viti are taking on new roles within UNFI Canada’s sales and supplier services teams. 

Effective Nov. 24, Parete will assume the role of director, supplier services. Parete has been with UNFI Canada for 12 years and was awarded Canadian Grocer’s Star Women in Grocery award in 2024. 

“Parete’s strategic insight and collaborative approach have been instrumental in securing long-term agreements with key partners like Loblaw," notes a press release. 

Deborah Viti, currently region sales director, will transition to lead the Loblaw, Walmart, and Costco account portfolio, also effective Nov. 24. Viti has been with UNFI Canada for almost 13 years and is a Circle of Excellence winner. 

“These appointments are the result of deliberate, forward-looking people planning,” said Stacey Kravitz, president, UNFI Canada. “By investing in talent development and succession planning, we ensure continuity for our partners and position UNFI Canada for sustained success.”
