Walmart Canada launches enhanced rewards Mastercard
Walmart Canada has reconfigured its no-fee rewards Mastercard, issued by Fairstone Bank of Canada.
Launched more than 15 years ago, Walmart reports the rewards Mastercard has helped Canadians redeem more than $600 million in value at Walmart.
Walmart rewards Mastercard cardholders can now earn 3% on Walmart purchases, in-store and online, including marketplace. Cardholders receive 1% on purchases made elsewhere.

Existing cardholders will automatically receive the enhanced card benefits on their current credit card and new cardholders are eligible to receive a welcome bonus of $25 in reward dollars.
The card also provides up to six months free on delivery pass, with the purchase of an annual subscription.
"With a higher earn rate on Walmart purchases, our upgraded Walmart rewards Mastercard has been redesigned with our customers' feedback in mind to help cardholders earn even more," said Joseph Godsey, chief growth officer, Walmart Canada, in a press release.
Reward dollars earned in dollar equivalents, can be redeemed in $5 increments and never expire. Customers can apply to the card in-store or online.
