Walmart chooses Twist Image for its digital strategy


Montreal's Twist Image digital marketing agency will manage Walmart Canada's digital marketing strategy.

The world's biggest retailer is in the midst of a $750 million countrywide expansion and is ramping up for the entry for Target next year.

Walmart's new digital strategy will be used via the web, mobile devices and social media to reach customers, the company said in Montreal Gazette article.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to create more engaging ways for Canadians to experience the Walmart brand," Twist Image president Mitch Joel said.

He added that it was going to be a challenge to work with a brand with such a wide customer reach as well as one that is just starting out in the digital marketing sphere.

In April or May the first marketing material is expected to be unveiled.
