Walmart Connect Canada launches ad certification program

The Walmart Connect Academy Ad Certification Program has officially launched across Canada. 

Through Walmart Connect Canada, the certification is a self-paced program aimed at upskilling teams and making learning accessible. It acts as a learning path that “certifies participants to use Walmart Connect Canada ad formats.”

Following the lead of its U.S. program, the Canadian launch introduces two courses, Retail Media and Sponsored Products.

“We’re focused on evolving alongside the needs of our advertisers and partners,” Lesley Conway, head of Walmart Connect Canada, tells Canadian Grocer. “We’re planning to continuously expand our offerings. Additional content is on the way, focusing on our onsite solutions and in-store opportunities.”

Walmart Connect Canada certifications were designed with the Canadian market in mind. 

Currently, the Retail Media and Sponsored Product courses reflect “the unique retail media environment and Walmart Connect’s specific solutions in Canada,” says Conway. 

The programs are available in both English and French. 

Participants who complete the training and achieve a score of 80% will earn a LinkedIn-enabled certification badge valid for one year.
