Walmart launches grocery home delivery in GTA

Service expands from pilot project at three Toronto condos

Customers living within select regions of Toronto, Etobicoke and Mississauga can now order groceries online or through the retailer's app and have them delivered to their front door.

The delivery service comes with a $10 fee and requires a minimum $50 order, and "all fresh groceries come with a 100% satisfaction, money back guarantee," according to a press release announcing the launch.

The discount retail giant started testing grocery delivery at three Toronto condos late last year. During the pilot phase Walmart used its own trucks for delivery and has now partnered with local delivery partners JoeyCo and Daily Delivery.

"We continue to invest in services to make every day easier for busy Canadians," said Daryl Porter, vice-president of omnichannel and online grocery at Walmart Canada, in a release. "With grocery delivery, we're providing  residents with even greater flexibility and convenience to shop groceries."
