Walmart to phase-out toxic chemicals in beauty, cleaning products

Following moves by CPG companies like P&G and Johnson & Johnson to eliminate hazardous chemicals from beauty products, the world's largest retailer is also following suit.
Walmart announced that it required suppliers to eliminate 10 hazardous chemicals from HABA and cleaning products in its stores.
It was reported that beginning in January, Walmart will move toward more green alternatives as it monitors progress on eliminating chemicals.
Among some of the chemicals on the list, it is believed that triclosan, a germ-killer found commonly in antibacterial soaps, is targeted.
