Walmart Supercentre to open in Ottawa in 2027
A new Walmart Supercentre is coming to Ottawa.
In 2027, the retailer will become the anchor tenant of the Place d’Orléans shopping centre, taking the 115,000 square-foot space formerly occupied by Hudson’s Bay.
The store will feature a full grocery assortment including fresh produce, chicken, beef, pork and seafood, deli foods, baked goods, dairy products, frozen foods and dry grocery items.
Walmart’s full general merchandise assortment will also be available, including fashion, home goods, electronics, health and wellness, seasonal items and more.
The Place d’Orléans Walmart Supercentre will offer an on-site pharmacy and pick-up and delivery services.
“As we continue to announce new stores as part of our $6.5 billion investment in Canada announced last year, we’re proud to introduce this new two-level Supercentre in Ottawa’s Place d’Orléans mall,” said Shawn Fujiki, senior director, real estate, Walmart Canada, in a press release. “Through this new Supercentre, we’re providing Ottawa residents with even more access to our everyday low prices.”
Walmart Canada operates 150 stores in Ontario.
