Former Whole Foods co-CEO joins the Vancouver company's strategic network

Walter Robb is joining the advisory board at Vancouver's Food-X Technologies.

Robb is best known for his time with Whole Foods Market. He joined the U.S.-based organic grocery chain in 1991 and was named co-CEO in 2010. He left Whole Foods and its board of directors in 2017.

Robb has spent the last three years as principal of his consultancy firm, Stonewall Robb Advisors. Additionally, he serves as executive in residence at S2G Ventures in Chicago.

"We are excited to welcome Walter to our advisory board and the Food-X Technologies mission," said Peter van Stolk, CEO of Food X-Technologies, in a press release. “Walter has been an incredible mentor to me since I first met him, and I am thrilled about the leadership insights, care and deep experience he will offer to the team."

"We have all seen the impact that COVID has had on online grocery and look forward to working closely with Walter as we continue to meet the demands of the new normal in grocery," added van Stolk.
