Recently, Summerwood Save on Foods store in Sherwood Park, Alta., got its game on with this Super Mario-inspired display. The store was promoting summer fun for the kids in the community and had a draw for a Nintendo DSI XL with Super Mario game.

Terry Prins, grocery manager and four staffers took seven hours to build the display that featured a TV screen that scrolled details of the giveaway while music from the Super Mario game played in the background.

The display was built in April and ran until June. “Customers of all ages loved it,” said store manager Carl Ryan. Many customers took pictures of the display that showed the art of merchandising is still alive and well.

Send your merchandising display photos to: [email protected].

Photos should be high-resolution, and in JPEG format.

Please provide some details on when the display ran, what the sales lift was, how long it took to create and who built the display.
