When a storm is imminent, buy kale
New Yorkers bemoan lack of kale on shelves as they shop for storm provisions
While Snowmageddon may have been trending this week, kalepocalypse was on the minds of New Yorkers.
Bill de Blasio, New York's mayor, warned citizens not to underestimate the impending storm that was predicted to be one of the worst New York has ever seen.
New Yorkers flocked to grocery stores to buy provisions, including water and snacks. But on Monday, Twitter was flooded with complaints about a lack of kale on the shelves.
The struggle to eat healthy is real.
