Who’s afraid of GMOs?
Consumers don’t know too much about genetically modified foods.
Protests against introducing genetically modified alfalfa to Canada took place in Toronto this week.
But outside of farmers and certain individuals, Canadian in generally are hardly up in arms.
Are Canadians pro-GMO? Or are they simply too busy to inform themselves about GMOs?
A CBC report looks at the issue and concludes that most Canadians simply don’t have the time to pay attention. However, consumers may still want greater transparency on GMOs.
