Amazon reportedly plans to open physical store in Silicon Valley

Eight years after launched AmazonFresh in Mercer island, Amazon is reportedly planning to take another big step in the grocery game.

According to a report from the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Amazon is planning to test a new service that lets you pick up fresh groceries and other items from a physical store.

The new click-and-collect location appears to be in Sunnyvale, Calif., where a real estate developer has submitted plans for a new 11,600-sq.-ft. building and grocery pickup area.

The Journal's sources also say Amazon is planning to rollout the concept in multiple locations in Silicon Valley.
