Freson Bros. founders, Frank Lovsin and Frank Resek, opened the first location in 1955, and since then Freson Bros. has grown to be a trusted member of Alberta’s communities. Now with 15 locations across Alberta, Freson Bros. continues to stay true to their values of fresh, local food, warm hospitality and traditional approaches.
Shawn Gavigan, Vice President of Finance and CFO at Freson Bros., needed a solution that would allow them to improve the accuracy and efficiency of their daily cash balancing processes.
“Some days, this process was taking upwards of three and half to four hours to complete,” Gavigan said.
Freson Bros. chose the Glory cash automation solution to integrate with their back-office cash balancing software. With the implementation of the Glory CI-50, they have reduced the amount of cash that they needed to have on hand in the store. This allows them to dispense floats for all lanes within minutes each day, thereby negating the need to have extra floats on hand. Additionally, the ability to dispense change quickly and accurately has also improved the efficiency at their front-end point of sale.
“We are able to achieve our goal of reducing the time spent completing our daily cash balancing process to under one hour per day. This has freed up over two hours of time each day for our store Admin Team. This time is now being re-invested in more customer focused activities,” said Gavigan
Freson Bros. considers Glory a strategic partner throughout its long-term growth plans.
“Glory's service and support Team has been quick to resolve any issues we've encountered both during initial implementation and day to day through their ongoing support process. That being said, the up time and reliability on the Glory machines has minimized the need for support calls.”
