2019 Grand Prix finalists revealed
The finalists for the Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards have been named.
A total of 112 products made the short list in the 27th edition of the Retail Council of Canada’s annual award. The products making the cut were launched in the Canadian market in 2019 and come from both established and new suppliers as well as smaller boutiques and family-owned retailers from across the country.
This year’s jury consisted of 34 food and grocery experts who judged the entries based on innovation, taste, experience and packaging. To become a finalist, a product had to receive a score of at least 70%.
"Now more than ever Canadians are seeking new products to keep the home menu diverse and exciting" said Diane J. Brisebois, president and CEO, Retail Council of Canada, in a press release. "Canadians are craving genuine newness and retailers have delivered."
