Acosta Canada is restructuring its executive team with three promotions.

Sam Magnacca (formerly VP, customer development) is promoted to SVP, client and customer development; Deb Voigt-Hetland (formerly VP, retail operations) is promoted to SVP, retail operations; and Tal Dovas (formerly VP, retail operations) is promoted to SVP, business development.

“With our focus on aligning the best talent in our industry, we have taken this step to provide the greatest value to our clients today and tomorrow,” Bill Ivany, president, said in a statement. “Our redefined Acosta Canada senior leadership team enhances our agility in an evolving marketplace as it also strengthens our ability to create new growth opportunities for clients.”

Magnacca’s experience leading wholesale purchasing and customer development in commercial operations includes 18 years with Acosta.

Voigt-Hetland, meanwhile, has held senior leadership roles across the company’s retail portfolio for more than 16 years, previously building retail and training capabilities for Proctor & Gamble and working as an independent sales training consultant for CPG companies across North America.

Finally, in her new role, Dovas adds operational responsibilities to support the growth of current client and customer relationships. The executive has worked for Acosta Canada for nearly 10 years, and previously held positions with Bell Canada and NBC Universal
